HOCKEY MATCH
Introduction:
Hockey Match is a kind of sports activity, where the selected players are chosen to play according to the rules and regulations of the Hockey Sport organization. It is a well-known sport throughout the world. In several part of the country, it is known as Field Hockey. It is a played with stick along with a ball. The origin of Hockey Match dates back to thousands of years ago.
How to play Hockey?
In a Hockey match, there will be 11 players to compete in opposition to each other with a help of hooked sticks to strike, pass, push and drip a small tough ball, usually a white one. The aim of playing the hockey match is to score a point by beating the ball into the challenger’s goal. To achieve this goal, the players have to pick the ball and try to keep the ball away from the opponent’s goalkeepers, who normally protects the goal. Apart from goalkeepers, the other players are put into different categories such as defenders, attackers and midfielders. The defenders usually placed to defense, attackers are typically to attack and the other midfielders are doing the act of both. An important skill required to play hockey is the capacity to push, pass, control, shoot and stop the ball, with the help of the hockey stick. This is called as stick handling or stick work.
Overview:
Achieving a goal is very interesting in the hockey match. The match lasts for 70 mins, which is divided in to two fractions, each of 35 mins. The team is declared to be winner, who has the most goals at the end of the 70 mins.
